Fruit processing increases by almost 30% in Dagestan

As of August 10, 2024, enterprises in the republic have processed almost 1.9 thousand tons of fruit, an increase of 27% compared to the same period last year. There are currently seven fruit and vegetable processing enterprises in the region, five of which are located in the mountainous part of the republic.

The largest volume is produced by Kikuninsky Cannery, followed by Botlikh Akvarius Cannery (428 tons), Irib Cannery (180 tons) and Gotsatlinsky Cannery (120 tons). Apricots account for 90% of the total fruit processed.
