MegaFon has expanded its digital infrastructure in Levashinsky District of Dagestan, bringing improved connectivity to residents of Tsukhta, Suleibakent and Khasakent.
The operator enhanced coverage even in small communities like Khasakent, with fewer than 500 residents, achieving average download speeds of 65 Mbps. New and upgraded base stations now provide coverage throughout residential areas and social facilities, including schools, post offices, and rural medical posts. The modernization included deployment of mid- and high-band LTE frequencies, expanding 4G network coverage and improving voice call quality.
Magomed Nasrullaev, MegaFon's Director in Dagestan, noted that online data usage in the district growed by over 30% annually, with residents of the administrative center consuming more than 500 GB monthly, primarily for social networks and messaging apps.
