GUMETOVSKY DISTRICT, May 22 – RIA Dagestan. A modern slaughterhouse facility operated by the Agricultural Production Consumer Cooperative "Ekoprodukt" has been launched in the village of Mekhelta, Gumetovsky District, Dagestan.
The new complex is equipped with machinery capable of processing up to 10 head of cattle and up to 200 head of small livestock per shift, enabling increased production output while ensuring high quality standards and veterinary safety of meat products.
The opening took place on the eve of Eid al-Adha, which, according to Magomed Abdulkhalimov, Head of the District's Agriculture Department, will allow slaughter operations during the festive period to be conducted in strict compliance with sanitary and veterinary requirements.
Galip Galitov, Head of Gumetovsky District, attended the ceremony and congratulated the cooperative's team on the successful launch. He emphasized that enterprises of this kind serve as a foundation for food security and the economic development of the municipality.
The facility represents an important step toward modernizing the region's agricultural infrastructure and supporting local livestock producers with reliable, certified processing capabilities.
