MAKHACHKALA, October 9 – RIA "Dagestan". Regional agricultural data for 2026 indicates that Dagestani growers have exceeded their annual orchard planting targets by 18%, cultivating over 607 hectares against a planned 514 hectares.
Suleyman-Stalsky District emerges as the regional leader, driven by Polosa LLC, which deployed 385 hectares of new plantings, notably allocating 200 hectares to high-yield nut crops.
The structural distribution of the new acreage reflects a strategic shift toward high-density farming, with 200 hectares designated as super-intensive and over 100 hectares as intensive orchard systems. Following the completion of the primary planting cycle, regional agricultural enterprises have commenced the autumn orchard establishment phase to sustain long-term yield optimization.
