MAKHACHKALA, October 30 – RIA "Dagestan". According to data from the Federal Tax Service (FTS) Directorate across the Republic of Dagestan, revenue recorded through cash register equipment totaled RUB 189.1 billion in the first nine months of 2026. This figure represents a 5.2% year-on-year increase compared to the same period in the previous year. During this three-quarter interval, the total number of registered cash registers at small and medium-sized enterprise facilities reached 25,300 units.
The FTS Directorate emphasizes that expanding the coverage of cash register systems is a critical mechanism for curbing illegal entrepreneurial activity and incentivizing businesses to formalize their operations and tax registration. Currently, the Directorate, in collaboration with the regional Ministry of Industry and Trade and other relevant agencies, is implementing measures to increase the penetration of cash register equipment in wholesale markets.
