Over the past five years, the use of mineral fertilizers to the soil in the republic of Dagestan has increased almost in 4 times, the regional Ministry of Agriculture and Food reports. According to the Ministry, in 2018, the local agrarians applied only 10 kg of fertilizers per 1 hectare of agricultural land, and in 2023 this amount increased to 38 kg per 1 hectare. In 2023, the agrarians purchased about 14.5 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers which is higher than the initially set target values.
