MAKHACHKALA, November 4 – RIA Dagestan. As part of the official National Unity Day observances, the Ministry of Economy and Territorial Development of Dagestan, in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and Folk-Art Crafts of the Republic, successfully organized a specialized exhibition and fair dedicated to traditional folk-art crafts.
Held in the public plaza adjacent to the Avar Music and Drama Theater, the event showcased the work of master artisans, skilled craftsmen and representatives of the regional creative industries. The fair highlighted a diverse array of traditional crafts, including intricate wooden carvings, renowned Kizlyar knives, silver jewelry, ceramics, traditional woolen footwear and various other decorative and applied art items.
This inter-ministerial initiative underscores the regional government's dual commitment to stimulating the local creative economy and actively preserving Dagestan rich cultural heritage for future generations.
