ISTANBUL, August 3 – RIA "Dagestan". Dagestan ensemble "Echo of Mountains" won second place and a silver medal at the 27th International Festival of Culture and Arts "Büyükçekmece" in Istanbulю The event featured participants from 62 countries.
Khasavyurt-based group performed traditional dances using authentic musical instruments and costumes, while artist Magomedali Magomedaliev demonstrated the regional craft of metal inlay on wood.
Founded in 2004 at the Spartak Palace of Culture under Honored Artist Daudbek Gasanov, the ensemble now holds the title of Honored Collective of Folk Art of the Russian Federation and unites over 20 dancers performing a repertoire of Caucasian and Russian folk dances.
