MOSCOW, August 25 – RIA Dagestan. Traditional Dagestani crafts, including Untsukul woodwork, Balkhar ceramics and handwoven carpets are being showcased at the "Islamic Heritage of Russia: Peoples and Traditions" exhibition at Moscow Cathedral Mosque.
The exhibition runs until August 27 and marks the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, as well as Kazan's designation as "Cultural Capital of the Islamic World 2026".
Dagestan pavilion was organized with support from the republican Permanent Representative Office to the President of the Russian Federation.
Apart from the displays, the exhibition program includes lectures on the history and spiritual values of Russia's Muslim peoples, master classes in Islamic calligraphy and decorative arts and themed guided tours.
Organizers note that the project underscores Dagestan's contribution to Russia's cultural landscape and serves as a platform for interethnic dialogue.
