MAKHACHKALA, October 20 – RIA "Dagestan". Galiasgar Kamal Tatar State Academic Theater hosted the "Day of the Peoples of Dagestan in Tatarstan" cultural gala, organized in alignment with the Year of the Unity of the Peoples of Russia.
The comprehensive event offered attendees an immersive experience of the republic’s heritage, featuring exhibitions, culinary showcases and performing arts. Artisans from Dagestan exhibited masterpieces across six traditional craft disciplines, including handwoven carpets, Balkhar ceramics, traditional tastar headscarves, intricate wood inlay and metalwork from Untsukul and Kubachi, and artistic copper repoussé.
The official program was enriched by performances from state folk ensembles, a showcase of national attire, and a curated tasting of authentic Dagestani cuisine, underscoring the strengthening of interregional cultural ties and the preservation of intangible heritage.
