MAKHACHKALA, October 27 – RIA "Dagestan". The State Academic Dance Ensemble of Dagestan "Lezginka" has successfully completed its concert tour across the Volga Federal District. The performances were organized within the framework of the all-Russian program "We Are Russia", administered by the Federal State Budgetary Institution ROSCONCERT.
On October 24 - 27, the ensemble presented its concert program "My Dagestan" in Samara, Tolyatti and Ulyanovsk. Audiences were treated to premier choreographic works rooted in the rich folkloric traditions of Dagestan's diverse peoples, showcasing the ensemble's signature synthesis of complex acrobatic technique and refined artistic expression.
In each host city, the ensemble—officially designated as an object of national cultural heritage—performed to sold-out audiences. The tour reached its grand finale at Ulyanovsk's Governorsky Palace of Friendship of Peoples, where artistic director Dzhambulat Magomedov received a prestigious honor. Ulyanovsk Region awarded him the "Honor and Glory" medal for his outstanding contribution to the development of Russian choreographic art, strengthening of interregional cultural ties and the preservation of the unified cultural space of the Russian Federation.
