DERBENT, May 7 – RIA "Dagestan." The State Tabasaran Drama Theater in Derbent has celebrated its 25th anniversary, with congratulations delivered by Murad Gadzhiev, Deputy Minister of Culture of Dagestan and Timur Magomedov, Chairman of Dagestan Union of Theater Workers. Actors and staff members received Certificates of Honor and Letters of Appreciation for their contributions to theatrical arts in the republic.
As part of the celebrations, the theater premiered a new production titled "Defenders of the Fatherland", staged under the United Russia party's federal project "Culture of the Small Homeland". Directed by Emma Irisheva, Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Altai, with set design by Alan Saymin, the performance honors contemporary soldier-heroes who follow the legacy of their fathers and grandfathers.
Alimurad Alimuradov, Director of Tabasaran Theater, expressed gratitude to Dagestan's Ministry of Culture and the United Russia party for their ongoing support, noting that the "Culture of the Small Homeland" project enables regional theaters to collaborate with renowned directors from other parts of Russia and elevate the quality of their productions.
