MAKHACHKALA, September 27 – RIA Dagestan. Accompanied by Acting Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Dagestan Valentin Klok, the Russian Deputy Minister of Economic Development Sergey Nazarov inspected the active construction site of the future Caspian Coastal Cluster Special Economic Zone. Kavkaz.RF Director General Andrey Yumshanov and his team briefed the officials on the rapid development of supporting infrastructure, noting that six out of the seven planned first-stage facilities successfully passed the State Expert Review.
Full-scale construction is now underway across five of these areas, including the construction of a multifunctional center, utility networks and landscaping, while three new access roads leading to the coastal resort and the "Dagestan" All-Russian Children's Center are simultaneously being built.
By the end of 2026, developers intend to finish the external envelope of the multifunctional center, complete the parking facility's monolithic concrete frame and conduct essential earthworks for the site's roads, adding to the already completed substation foundations and pile drilling for the water treatment facility.
As the project transitions into the active commercial construction phase, special economic zone investor-residents will officially launch the construction of the first hotel in October 2026. Ultimately, these private investments will transform the cluster by introducing nearly 3,500 diverse hotel rooms, including luxury five-star suites and creating more than 2,600 new jobs.
