The Government of the Republic of Dagestan has allocated RUB 244 million from its reserve fund to address urgent needs in three municipalities: Makhachkala, Kizilyurt and Sergokalinsky District. The decision, issued by Prime Minister Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov, reflects a targeted approach to stabilizing local infrastructure and public services. The bulk of the funding—RUB 207 million—is directed to the capital, Makhachkala, primarily to sustain public transportation operations and settle legacy debts from former intra-city administrative units, which are vital for the city’s smooth functioning.
Kizilyurt will receive RUB 33.7 million to implement a multifaceted support package. These funds will cover municipal employee salaries, fire safety upgrades in schools, improvements to stormwater drainage, major repairs of sewer systems and the modernization of a medical facility at the “Solnyshko” kindergarten. This comprehensive investment aims to enhance both safety and quality of life for residents, particularly children and public sector workers, while addressing long-standing infrastructure gaps.
Meanwhile, Sergokalinsky District is set to receive RUB 3.9 million to advance its educational infrastructure, specifically to complete the outfitting of a newly built kindergarten in the village of Kichigamri. Prime Minister Abdulmuslimov reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting municipalities across the republic in accordance with directives from Head of the Republic Sergei Melikov, underscoring a consistent policy of reinforcing local governance and ensuring equitable development throughout Dagestan.
