MAKHACHKALA, May 20 – RIA Dagestan. Dagestan has presented a draft Plan for Scientific and Technical Activities of the Republic of Dagestan in the field of ecological development and climate change.
At a meeting chaired by Acting Deputy Prime Minister Nariman Abdulmutalibov, participants discussed the structure and content of the document, developed as part of implementing state scientific and technical policy aimed at ecological development of the Russian Federation and adaptation to climate challenges. The draft plan, prepared jointly by the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Dagestan, outlines a comprehensive set of environmental protection measures till 2030.
Key focus areas include regular maintenance and publication of the Red Data Book of the Republic of Dagestan to monitor rare species; improvement of the state environmental oversight system; implementation of energy efficiency solutions at industrial facilities and equipping enterprises with automated systems for monitoring harmful emissions.
Following the meeting, relevant government agencies were instructed to continue refining the draft plan, taking into account all the proposals and comments submitted. The document aligns with federal requirements for regional entities to develop and implement targeted measures for environmental improvement and climate resilience.
