MAKHACHKALA, November 2 – RIA Dagestan. The Presidium of the People's Assembly of the Republic of Dagestan, chaired by First Vice-Speaker Magomed Dzhafarov, has reviewed the draft law for the republic's main financial document. The attendees discussed the draft law "On the Republican Budget for 2027 and the Planning Period of 2028 and 2029" which was submitted by Regional Head Fedor Shchukin.
The Committee on Budget, Finance and Taxes has been appointed as the lead committee responsible for reviewing the draft. The draft budget law will be forwarded to the Accounts Chamber, the People's Assembly committees and entities with the right of legislative initiative for their findings, comments and proposals.
Based on the Accounts Chamber's findings, the Committee on Budget, Finance and Taxes will prepare a consolidated report and a draft resolution for the document's adoption in the first reading.
According to Magomed Dzhafarov, the budget is the primary issue that requires diligent work throughout November and December. The parliamentarian also announced public hearings on the matter, scheduled for November 12 with stakeholders, the public and media representatives expected to attend.
