The reconstruction of the "Tagirkent-Kazmalyar" checkpoint on the Russian-Azerbaijani border in Dagestan, with a total capital investment of RUB 2.9 billion, is planned to be completed by the end of 2027.
This has been announced by Magomed Tagirov, the Acting Minister of Transport and Road Infrastructure of the republic. According to Tagirov, upon completion of works, the checkpoint's designed capacity will increase up to 2,400 vehicles per day. This includes 1,100 freight trucks, 1,200 passenger cars and an additional 60 buses.
