MAKHACHKALA, August 19 – RIA Dagestan. Dagestan expects to receive a delivery of 141 new large and medium-class buses by the end of the year. Specifically, applications were submitted this year under two federal programs to procure an additional 141 buses (36 large and 105 medium-class). Both applications have been approved by the Russian Ministry of Transport, with delivery expected by the end of the year.
Additionally, 11 medium-class buses have been purchased to service the intermunicipal Makhachkala–Kaspiysk route.
The report also highlighted that alongside the fleet renewal, efforts are underway to digitalize the sector. Approximately 80% of the buses are now equipped with cashless payment systems and video surveillance, while 83% feature real-time route tracking on 2GIS and Yandex Maps.
