MAKHACHKALA, June 4 – RIA Dagestan. The first Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Dagestan Sharip Sharipov participated in a Field Day at the Lukyanenko National Grain Center in Krasnodar Territory. The event, marking the 125th anniversary of renowned wheat breeder Pavel Lukyanenko, gathered over 350 agricultural representatives from Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.
Dagestani delegation also included Kishtil Kurkiev from Dagestan Experimental Station and Nariman Nimatulaev from the Federal Agrarian Scientific Center. During the seminar, experts discussed crucial topics such as grain variety certification, climate stress resistance and accelerated breeding methods for major crops.
Sharipov expressed deep gratitude to the Center for developing high-quality wheat varieties that currently occupy significant sown areas across the republic. The visit finished with a tour of the experimental seed farm's demonstration plots, which showcased approximately 130 varieties of wheat, barley, legumes and oilseed crops.
