MAKHACHKALA, July 10 – RIA "Dagestan". Dagestan has launched the MAX service for guest registration using "Digital ID" technology, with the "Monto" Hotel becoming the first accommodation facility in the region to adopt it.
According to the Ministry of Tourism and Folk Arts and Crafts, this system allows guests to check in without a paper passport by generating a QR code in the MAX app and confirming their identity.
Once scanned, the data is automatically transferred to the hotel’s system, significantly accelerating the process. Starting September 1, 2026, this digital service will be mandatory for classified hotels with over 50 rooms, while smaller facilities must comply by September 1, 2028. The initiative aims to streamline reception procedures, enhance data accuracy, and reduce registration times.
