Fourteen new schools for 48000 first-graders open in Dagestan

This academic year marks a significant milestone for the education system in Dagestan. The start of primary education for more than 48,000 kids is expected to contribute to an overall schoolchildren enrollment exceeding 482,000.

Dagestani government prioritizes the advancement of educational infrastructure. In commemoration of the Knowledge Day, 14 new schools with a capacity for 5,140 students and two kindergartens accommodating 450 children were put into operation across ten municipalities.  Besides, the construction of two additional schools (with total capacity of 600) and one kindergarten will be completed by year-end.

The regional authorities express its gratitude to the federal government for its support of national initiatives.  Specifically, 9 schools were refurbished this year as part of the "Youth and Children" project. Furthermore, in alignment with a presidential decree issued by V.Putin, construction of two new educational facilities for 600 places has commenced in the region.
