MAKHACHKALA, October 26 – RIA "Dagestan". Dagestan Government has initiated a regulatory overhaul to address systemic safety risks within the republic's active recreation and tourist transport sectors. Acting Prime Minister Magomed Ramazanov highlighted the recurring annual incidence of tourist accidents, attributing them to unlicensed operations and the use of non-compliant safety equipment in high-demand activities such as boating and bungee jumping.
Following a briefing by Acting Tourism Minister Emin Merdanov, a cross-agency and municipal task force has been mandated to develop regulatory frameworks. The primary objectives are to formalize the legal status of these service providers and to institutionalize rigorous safety compliance audits, thereby mitigating liability and enhancing overall tourist safety.
