Makhachkala, November 13, 2015. During a working trip to Derbent, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev visited an ancient citadel of Naryn-Kala linked to the Caspian Sea with double walls.
The Head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov accompanied the prime minister during a walk through the citadel. Abdulatipov told Medvedev about the plans for the restoration and reconstruction of the historical monument. So, within 2-3 years, it is planned to expand the gentrified area on the territory of the citadel and to create tourists’ infrastructure.
"I saw nothing similar anywhere else" - Medvedev responded.
Then the Head of Dagestan and the Prime Minister viewed the ancient city from the observation deck of the fortress.
