MAKHACHKALA, July 16 – RIA "Dagestan". Dagestan and Primorsky Krai have formalized interparliamentary cooperation through an agreement signed by People’s Assembly Chairman Zaur Askenderov and Legislative Assembly Speaker Anton Voloshko, with Deputy Speaker Dzhambulat Tekiev also in attendance.
The document establishes a framework for strengthening ties, exchanging legislative best practices and implementing joint initiatives to enhance public welfare.
Askenderov underscored the symbolic significance of linking Russia’s geographic extremes and the practical value of horizontal parliamentary collaboration for sharing innovative governance tools. Voloshko thanked his counterparts for their receptiveness, citing Dagestan’s legislative expertise as especially relevant before major elections. The official talks ended with a mutual gift exchange showcasing each region’s cultural traditions.
