Schools and educational institutions in Dagestan will transit to Russian software. Under the agreement signed between the Ministry of Digital Development of Dagestan and the Russian software developer, the region's educational institutions will receive licenses for its RED OS operating system (Linux-based). The product will be used by students and teachers for educational purposes. The local authorities say that the cooperation with domestic developers in the field of import substitution had started long in 2019.
