MAKHACHKALA, June 5 – RIA Dagestan. The regional stage of the All-Russian professional skills competition "Defectologist Teacher of Russia – 2026" has finished at Dagestan Institute for Education Development. The event was aimed at identifying and supporting talented specialists working in the field of corrective-developmental education. The competition was held in two nominations: "Speech Therapist of the Year" and "Defectologist of the Year". Finalists presented their best pedagogical practices, underwent evaluation tests and exchanged experiences with colleagues.
The competition program included two key tests: a "Master Class" which was a public demonstration of modern corrective-developmental technologies and an "Open group class or lesson with students with disabilities" followed by self-analysis and answers to questions from the jury.
In the "Defectologist of the Year" nomination, second place was awarded to Zagidat Magomedova, a specialist at the Type IV Boarding School in Makhachkala, while Raisat Ramazanova from Boarding School No. 7 in Derbent became the third-place winner.
In the "Speech Therapist of the Year" nomination, the winner was Anastasia Shtanova from School No. 59 named after A.G. Nikolaev in Makhachkala. Second place was taken by Svetlana Grishina from the Republican Center for Social and Labor Adaptation and Career Guidance named after U.M. Murtuzalieva. The third place was awarded to Zarema Agabekova from the Inchkhinskaya School in Kazbekovsky District.
Anastasia Shtanova will represent Dagestan at the federal stage of the competition in Moscow.
