MAKHACHKALA, August 10 – RIA "Dagestan". Kamila Omarova, a DSU associate professor, received a regional head’s grant to launch "Club 'IgroBoom'", an adapted board game program for visually impaired youth.
The initiative targets 102 children in rehabilitation centers, offering them consistent opportunities for socialization and skill development through specialized gaming. Tactile and auditory game formats are utilized to strengthen cognitive functions and collaborative abilities within a safe, accessible framework.
As to Omarova, the funding enables the creation of a space where children can explore their potential without constraint. Student volunteers from the Social Faculty will assist in operations, transforming classroom concepts into meaningful inclusive practice.
Dean Saidarkhan Aigubov emphasized that such experiential learning was crucial for developing attentive and responsible social service practitioners. Rector Murtazali Rabadanov commended the integration of faculty research and student training to address critical social needs through direct community intervention.
