The Russian Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov paid a visit to Dagestan State Pedagogical University (DSPU) named after R. Gamzatov in Makhachkala. The top official is on his working trip to the region these days. During his visit, the federal minister toured the exhibition hall for examinations, the Military and Sports Training Centre, Dagestan Podvorye Ethno Complex, the student residence premises and spoke to students.
It was announced that the Ministry in collaboration with the regional authorities intends to establish a Centre for Arabic Language and Culture Studies at the university. As to Kravtsov, DSPU is an institution that annually enrolls over 10,000 students and confidently demonstrates excellent methodological competences. “The university actively works towards creating optimal conditions for quality education, encompassing the development of a technology park called "Quantorium", as well as the establishment of a professional and pedagogical college” – Kravtsov said.
