MAKHACHKALA, April 3 – RIA Dagestan. Dagestan has adopted a regional scientific and technological development program for 2026–2030, signed by Prime Minister Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov.
The program aims to shift the regional economy toward an innovation-driven, export-oriented model grounded in knowledge and advanced technologies. Its implementation is expected to deliver sustainable economic growth and raise living standards, with the Ministry of Industry and Trade acting as coordinator.
Key tasks include: attracting and supporting talented individuals in science and innovation; providing grants for scientific and innovative projects; creating platforms for business-academic collaboration (including fairs for tech solutions and innovative products); and developing an effective modern governance and self-regulation system for science, technology and innovation.
Priority areas cover bioeconomics; engineering in mechanical engineering, instrument manufacturing, and robotics; mineral extraction and enrichment technologies; new energy sources; cross-sector IT; artificial intelligence and big data analytics.
