Dagestan Residents Spend Almost 90% of Their Income on Mortgage Repayment

MAKHACHKALA, November 2 – RIA Dagestan. The average mortgage payment in Dagestan at the end of 2025 amounted to approximately 90% of the combined income of two salaries.

Consequently, Dagestan found itself at the bottom of the regional ranking. According to experts' calculations, the average mortgage payment in the republic at the end of 2025 was RUB 84,200, while the average loan amount stood at RUB 5.3 million.

Residents of Kalmykia also have to spend almost all their earnings on mortgage payments, with the payment-to-salary ratio reaching 82%. In three other regions, mortgage payments exceed 60% of the combined salary of two working individuals: North Ossetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, and Crimea.
