In commemoration of the 85th anniversary of Muhu Aliyev, the first President of the Republic of Dagestan, an esteemed academic conference titled "Between Philosophy and Politics" will be convened in Makhachkala on September 18-19. The gathering will bring together prominent Russian scholars, government officials, public figures, philosophers and researchers to engage in discourse on pertinent topics at the confluence of philosophy, politics, and social sciences.
The conference program encompasses plenary sessions, interactive discussions, a roundtable forum and an offsite session hosted in Derbent. The key topic is Muhu Aliyev's legacy and his significant contribution to the advancement of philosophical thought and statehood.
Distinguished scholars from the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences, professors from Dagestan State University and researchers hailing from Moscow, Kazan, Krasnodar, Ulyanovsk, Grozny, Stavropol and other regions across Russia will participate in this intellectual exchange.
The conference will culminate in a final plenary session, followed by engagements with the media and the Ministry for National Policy and Religious Affairs of the Republic of Dagestan. Additionally, a program of cultural events is scheduled to take place in both Makhachkala and Derbent.
