MAKHACHKALA, April 28 – RIA "Dagestan." The International Folk Arts Festival titled “Caspiy – Shores of Friendship” is scheduled to take place in Dagestan on May 2 - 5. The principal locations for this cultural event are the cities of Kaspiysk and Makhachkala.
The festival will showcase performances by various artistic ensembles, traditional folk groups and artisans specializing in folk crafts, representing Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Kalmykia, North Ossetia–Alania, the Chechen Republic, Stavropol Krai and Astrakhan Oblast.
According to the program, on May 3 and 4, an exhibition featuring the works of folk art and craft masters from Russian regions and Dagestan will be organized. Additionally, the organizers intend to conduct workshops focusing on traditional crafts such as pottery, patchwork sewing and handmade doll-making.
The culminating event on the festival’s final day will be held on S. Stalsky Boulevard in Makhachkala, featuring a concert and a patriotic program entitled We Are Together – Russia!
Significantly, the festival is coordinated by the Cultural Heritage Center with endorsement from the Russian Ministry of Culture. The forum is collaboratively organized by Dagestan’s Ministry of Culture, the Republican House of Folk Arts, municipal administrations and the Culture Departments of both Makhachkala and Kaspiysk city administrations.
