MAKHACHKALA, August 13 – RIA "Dagestan". On August 17 - 23, Laksky District will host the "Pabaku-2026" sports tourism festival in the vicinity of Burshi village. This week-long event offers participants an opportunity to summit high-altitude peaks while mastering critical mountaineering competencies.
Scheduled ascents target Pabaku at 3,997 meters, Balial at 4,007 meters, and Dyultydag at 4,127 meters above sea level. Mandatory pre-expedition training covers route planning, orientation, equipment use and autonomous living techniques adjusted for elevation challenges.
The main base camp ensures full logistical support including catering, potable water, sanitary facilities, power, internet access and gear rentals.
