LUGANSK, June 24 – RIA "Dagestan". Dagestani lecturers from the Russian "Znanie" Society delivered a core educational program at the youth forum "The Strength of the Country is in the Unity of Peoples. Interfaith Peace Through the Eyes of Youth" held in Lugansk People's Republic. The forum, which drew more than 120 participants, was organized by the Muftiate of Dagestan and the LPR, with support from the Foundation for the Support of Islamic Culture, Science and Education, the Russian "Znanie" Society and the Coordination Center of Dagestan State University.
Lecturers from the "Znanie" Society Magomed Magomedov and Abdulgamid Samadov, acted as moderators of the project platforms, helping young people to develop initiatives to strengthen interethnic and interreligious harmony.
Together with the forum participants, they discussed the harmonization of interfaith relations, the prevention of external threats and the civic responsibility of youth. Youth teams developed projects in the areas of "Interethnic and Interreligious Harmony", "Prevention of External Threats" and "Patriotism and Social Service".
Shevket Krumov, head of Dagestan branch of the "Znanie" Society explained that the lecturers' visit to Lugansk was designed to facilitate knowledge exchange and foster communication among the youth. He noted that their mission was to cultivate a space where various cultural and faith traditions can interact openly. Echoing these sentiments, LPR Mufti Muhammad Ismail Gambarov emphasized that the event marked a crucial milestone in promoting peace and harmony, vividly demonstrating the solidarity of Russia's diverse population.
"When young people from different regions, different cultures speak the same language — the language of peace and harmony — that is the true strength of our country" he emphasized.
Based on results of the forum, project initiatives aimed at strengthening peace, harmony and intercultural dialogue were presented.
