MAKHACHKALA, July 6 – RIA "Dagestan". The international algorithmic programming championship "RuCode" has opened registration for its final round on October 18. After being recognized in the Russian Book of Records last year as the most massive competition of its kind, the 2026 championship has expanded its reach with in-person venues in various Russian regions and friendly countries. The event is a collaborative effort between Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, a consortium of co-organizing universities and the Russian Sports Programming Federation. Magomed Abdulaev, President of the Sports Programming Federation of Dagestan, has invited regional programmers to compete in this prestigious tournament.
According to Abdulaev, the rapid evolution of sports programming makes such championships essential for cultivating future industry leaders. He noted that participants get a unique opportunity to benchmark their knowledge against the best and acquire practical experience beyond traditional academic settings.
"The Sports Programming Federation of Dagestan fully backs our athletes competing at this elite level, as these tournaments are instrumental in shaping their character, strategic mindset and drive for professional growth" he explained.
