MAKHACHKALA, July 4 – RIA "Dagestan". The three-day youth festival DAGFEST 2026 has kicked off on Pushkin Street and in Suleiman Stalsky Park in Makhachkala, bringing together participants from Sochi, Nalchik, Ingushetia, Moscow, Pyatigorsk and Chechnya.
During the three-day event, visitors and locals can experience a large fair, food courts, live entertainment by well-known artists, interactive contests, and diverse recreational activities.
According to Deputy Prime Minister of Dagestan Muslim Telyakavov, the festival serves as a key interregional youth platform with a strong charitable mission aimed at animal rescue and helping children with severe illnesses. As to Mayor of Makhachkala Dzhambulat Salavov, such events motivate young people to interact and pursue new projects.
An educational lecture hall organized by the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company "Dagestan" is part of the Dagfest festival, covering personal branding, public speaking and careers in television.
On site, a "Territory of Health" pavilion allows visitors to check their blood pressure and cholesterol for free, undergo a rapid HIV test and acquire first-aid skills.
The opening day culminated in a concert by the regional popular musicians.
