DSU Presents Its Scientific Developments at III Republican Science Festival

MAKHACHKALA, February 7 – RIA “Dagestan”. Dagestan State University showcased a large-scale exhibition at the III Republican Science Festival, timed to coincide with Science Day. Visitors had an opportunity to explore interactive exhibits from several university laboratories, including those focused on environmental monitoring, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and information security. A newly developed training simulator for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operation was presented to the public for the first time.

The exhibition also featured notable projects from DSU’s "Technet" acceleration program, showcasing the most promising student innovations developed over the past three years. Besides, the university displayed a collection of its intellectual property assets, including registered software, patents and proprietary technologies. The festival program included an awards ceremony recognizing young researchers who achieved success in republican competitions, as well as recipients of named scholarships awarded by the regional governor. Letters of gratitude for significant scientific contributions were presented to Murtazali Akaev, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Dzhamilya Gamidova, Chair of DSU’s Council of Young Scientists.

DSU Rector Murtazali Rabadanov described the festival as a strategic investment in Dagestan's future, reinforcing the university's commitment to spotlighting talented youth on national and global stages. He stressed the critical role of backing scientific inquiry and cultivating emerging researchers who will elevate Dagestan's—and Russia's—reputation. Meanwhile, the press service of DSU reported strong visitor engagement with the university's exhibition, which highlighted its cutting-edge scientific and technological advancements.
