MAKHACHKALA, August 11 – RIA "Dagestan". The Russian Construction Ministry has named four Dagestani projects as winners in its All-Russian competition for comfortable urban environments. With a record 582 entries from 82 regions, the final selection was approved by a federal commission led by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.
Victorious proposals involve improvements in Salta, Kasumkent, Babayurt and Levashi, harmonizing cultural preservation with modern public infrastructure. Federal financing surpasses RUB 314 million, allocating RUB 80.6 million each to three locations and RUB 72.5 million to Salta.
As to the head of Dagestan Fyodor Shchukin, these projects address dual objectives: maintaining historical integrity while delivering contemporary recreational facilities. The regional governor emphasized inclusive development, stating that residents from district hubs to remote auls deserve access to improved environments. Commending municipal specialists for excelling amid stiff national competition, he reaffirmed commitment to supporting life-enhancing projects in Dagestan.
