MAKHACHKALA, August 25 – RIA Dagestan. Dagestan Center for Advanced Professional Training hosted a meeting on personnel shortages and the "Professionalitet" project, chaired by Acting Deputy Prime Minister Rizvan Gazimagomedov.
Participants discussed the shortage of specialists, popularization of skilled trades, integration of education with the economy and workforce training for 2026.
Regional enterprises need more than 900 specialists. Training is provided by three universities and 13 colleges, including two mechanical engineering colleges. Eleven specialized engineering classes operate in the republic for early career guidance.
As part of "Professionalitet", Dagestan Ministry of Industry and Trade has signed agreements with Dagdiesel Plant, Kaspiysk Aviation Mechanical Plant, Gadzhiev Plant and Kaspiysk Precision Mechanics Plant to develop career guidance and boost the appeal of vocational professions.
