Leading Civil Aircraft Manufacturer Shows Interest in Specialists from Dagestan

MAKHACHKALA, February 13 – RIA “Dagestan”. Four students from Dagestan State Technical University have completed internships and secured employment at Yakovlev, a leading Russian manufacturer of civil aircrafts. Their hiring resulted from a collaboration between the university and the company under a civil aviation support program, with additional internship opportunities planned for other students.

During a meeting with DSTU Rector Nazim Balmirzoyev, the company representatives emphasized the industry's demand for qualified personnel and noted that the university's curriculum aligns with current challenges in civil aviation. The newly employed specialists base in Dagestan, where they service MS-21 and SSJ NEW aircraft, with starting salaries of RUB 80,000.

Rector Balmirzoyev described the partnership as highly successful, highlighting its potential to create substantial employment opportunities for graduates. Yakovlev carries out the full production cycle—from aircraft design to after-sales service—integrating scientific, manufacturing and maintenance capabilities across Russia's civil aviation sector.
