MAKHACHKALA, February 21 – RIA "Dagestan". Lieutenant Colonel Said Ibragimov has been awarded the title of Hero of Russia. Ibragimov is a native of Dakhadaevsky District, a graduate of the Far Eastern Higher Combined Arms Command School and currently serves as commander of a battalion within a motorized rifle regiment.

"On the front lines, Said has repeatedly proven himself a genuine combat officer—someone who can be relied upon in the most challenging circumstances" Sergei Melikov, regional governor stated. "Decisive, resolute and dependable—commanders like him are the ones driving our forces forward and bringing Victory nearer".

Melikov pointed out that the 19 Heroes of Russia from Dagestan represent far more than a numerical figure—they personify courage and self-sacrifice, reflecting values cultivated in the republic from an early age: fidelity to one's word, dedication to justice and a willingness to extend assistance to others.

The Head of Dagestan added that he had personally phoned Ibragimov to congratulate him on receiving the distinguished honor and to wish him success in his continued military service. He also spoke with the Hero's father, expressing gratitude for raising such an exemplary son.
