Makhachkala to Host Inclusive Events for Children with Hearing Impairments

MAKHACHKALA, August 12 – RIA "Dagestan". As part of the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia initiative, Makhachkala will host two inclusive events promoting rehabilitation through culture for children with hearing impairments.

The series begins on August 20 with the opening of the "Hearing the World Through Silence" Chinese art exhibition at Rasul Gamzatov National Library, coinciding with the II All-Russian Conference on Sign Art.

On August 23, the "Light of Hope" festival will bring together children from Dagestan and the new territories of Donetsk and Lugansk. The festival program features master classes, performances, a gala concert and the "Ignite Hope" flash mob at two separate locations.

Events at Dagestan Philharmonic summer stage are set for 3:30–5:00 PM, followed by activities at G. Tsadasa Avar Music and Drama Theater from 6:00–8:00 PM.

The Angel of Hope Charitable Foundation organizes these programs with backing from the republic’s Ministries of Youth Affairs and Culture.
