MAKHACHKALA, May 15 – RIA "Dagestan". A republican scientific-practical seminar titled "ENT Pathologies: Modern Approaches to Diagnostics, Non-Obvious Interdisciplinary Aspects and Clinical Interconnections" will be held in Makhachkala on May 16.
The event will bring together otorhinolaryngologists, therapists, general practitioners, pediatricians, gastroenterologists, neurologists, pulmonologists, cardiologists, gynecologists, oncologists, audiologists and specialists in radiology and functional diagnostics. The seminar focuses on developing sound diagnostic reasoning — recognizing warning signs, choosing appropriate examination methods and identifying patients who need an interdisciplinary approach.
Particular attention will be given to oncological vigilance in everyday clinical practice. Symptoms including persistent hoarseness, unilateral nasal obstruction, lasting difficulty swallowing, throat foreign body sensation, non-healing oral or pharyngeal lesions, enlarged cervical lymph nodes, or unilateral ear pain without clear cause warrant timely and clinically justified diagnostic workup.
"A physician should consider not just the symptom in isolation, but its duration, character, treatment resistance and accompanying signs" Aishat Karaeva, Assistant Professor at Dagestan State Medical University said. She noted that this comprehensive approach enables timely detection of serious illnesses, appropriate diagnostic selection and proper treatment planning.
The seminar will take place at Abubakarova Street, 22, conference hall (office 201). Participation is free for all interested.
