SAINT PETERSBURG, June 30 – RIA "Dagestan". S. M. Kirov Military Medical Academy held its ceremonial graduation the day before, awarding diplomas to over a thousand servicemen, including 43 natives of Dagestan who excelled in their academic and vocational programs.
The graduation ceremony for civilian specialists took place on the same day, featuring Dagestani students who had successfully completed their physician training. Among the highest-achieving graduates from the republic, Medical Service Lieutenant Nadezhda Gabueva received a gold medal for her exemplary academic record. Diplomas with honors were also presented to medical officers Rustam Aliyev, Gadzhimurad Mekhraliev and Kurbanbagand Kurbanbagandov.
Noteworthy, the Medical Service Captain Rustam Aliyev has a track record of academic excellence at the academy: he graduated with a red diploma and a gold medal in 2017. Over the subsequent years, he has enhanced his professional qualifications, served in the army, participated in the special military operation and received combat awards. Currently, he works on his candidate's dissertation. His brother, Lieutenant Colonel of the Medical Service Arsen Aliyev, is also a highly accomplished specialist of the Military Medical Academy.
Throughout their training, Dagestani cadets received full assistance from the Representation of the Republic of Dagestan in St. Petersburg, which kept in touch with the academy's administration and arranged educational activities. S. M. Kirov Military Medical Academy is Russia's oldest and foremost medical university, having trained tens of thousands of professionals who made a vast contribution to the country's healthcare system.
