MAKHACHKALA, July 14 – RIA "Dagestan". Academician and Honored Scientist Shamil Aliyev has summarized five decades of scientific work through a trilogy of monographs dedicated to artificial intelligence in marine engineering. Titles include Mathematical Support for Computer-Aided Design of Underwater Products, Artificial Intelligence in Simulation Modeling Tasks and a revised Fundamental Technical Complexes: The Theory of Analytical Design.
Rooted in his extensive teaching career, these books emphasize applying AI to automate computations and simulate hydrodynamic processes. The third volume notably updates his foundational theory from over 30 years ago—once reprinted in Torpedo Weaponry and now rare—with contemporary digital methodologies.
Rich in technical detail, each publication incorporates original diagrams and tables based on both public data and Aliyev’s practical expertise. The project was supported by "Concern 'Marine Underwater Weapons – Gidropribor'" JSC from St. Petersburg and "Dagdizel" JSC from Kaspiysk - both institutions tied to his legacy.
The Gidropribor editorial board underscored the state-level significance of this research, affirming that AI-driven underwater systems are critical to Russia’s defense capabilities and naval modernization efforts.
