According to a SuperJob survey of economically active residents of Makhachkala, teachers and educators were most frequently cited as underpaid professionals, with 25% of respondents identifying their salaries as insufficient. Healthcare workers ranked second, with 16% of participants stating that doctors, paramedics and nurses deserve higher compensation.
Skilled workers in manufacturing and construction were mentioned by 9% of respondents as being underpaid, while 7% highlighted low wages for cleaners and janitors. Engineers received 5% of mentions, matching the share of respondents who pointed to salespeople and cashiers. Accountants and those who believe labor is generally undervalued across all sectors each accounted for 3% of responses, while 2% cited low pay for public sector employees broadly.
