MAKHACHKALA, October 12 – RIA "Dagestan". The XXVIII General Assembly of the Association of Universities and Research Centers of the Caspian States, hosted by Yessenov University, facilitated critical dialogue on transnational academic integration and environmental sustainability.
Key outcomes included the endorsement of Dagestan State University’s (DSU) strategic initiative to deploy the "Caspian" aquatic-territorial carbon testing ground, a move aligned with the Assembly’s broader commitment to enhanced climate research collaboration. This proposal resulted in the adoption of six specific measures from DSU delegation into the official Resolution, notably the scheduling of an International Digital Forum and a Youth Climate Forum in Dagestan.
Institutional linkages were further strengthened through the execution of Memoranda of Understanding between DSU and counterparts at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, Safi Utebayev Atyrau University of Oil and Gas and Yessenov University.
Additionally, a joint working group was mandated to perform "mirror" comparative analyses of the Northern Caspian ecosystem. The visit culminated in a landmark honor, as the Academic Council of Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University conferred the title of Honorary Professor upon Rector Rabadanov, recognizing his pivotal role in fostering long-term inter-university trust and collaboration within the Association.
