MAKHACHKALA, June 19 – RIA "Dagestan". Football club "Anzhi" will take part in the Russian Cup for the 2026/27 season. After a long hiatus, Dagestani team will once again play in one of the country's major football tournaments.
"Anzhi" last played a match in the Russian Cup in 2021. "This is an important milestone and a new chapter in the club's history for us. We are happy to return to the list of participants in one of the country's most prestigious football tournaments and are ready to represent Dagestan at the national level" the club's statement runs.
The draw for the 2026/27 Russian Cup will take place on June 19. A live broadcast will be available on the Match TV website, starting at 4:00 PM Moscow time.
