MAKHACHKALA, September 24 – RIA "Dagestan". Cheerav Ashalaev has advanced to the finals of the European Boxing Championship currently taking place in Sofia.
In the semifinal bout of the up-to-80 kg weight category, the Dagestani boxer of the Russian national team defeated England's Oladimeji Shittu. Tomorrow, in the fight for the gold medal, Ashalaev will step into the ring against Serbia's Rastko Simić.
