Dagestan junior national boxing team (17–18-year-olds) has won five medals at the Russian Championships in Vladikavkaz. More than 600 athletes from 82 regions of Russia participated in the event. Kamil Dzhamayev (86 kg), a member of Dagestani team, won the national championship (gold medal). Islam Ibragimov (57 kg) and Akhmedbek Medzhidov (60 kg) won silver medals. Akhmad Aidamirov (67 kg) and Abdulla Kanamatov (86 kg) have become the bronze medal holders. Dagestani national team finished third in the team event.
